Still exploring and found something strange. RW Tools told me I was missing some 3DTrains items. Well I have them all. SO I went to the 3DTrains folder and found that the Scalerails/Roadnetwork was compressed into RascalRoadNetworkAssets.ap and the scenery pack was compressed into RascalSceneryAssets.ap.

I created a set for Rich Garber's Rascal & Cottonwood, which is probably why there's an *.ap for them. AFAIK, the 3DTrains files should still be intact in the ScaleRail folder - they are here anyway.

Here is a list of assets I am missing and I thought I had everything. The majority I have no idea where to even get them. One of them looks like the Durango route, that I know I do not have as I am not into the narrow gauge stuff. I also note there are 3 track rules missing which makes no sense since your only supposed to be using 1.

The tile that is crashing me is or near -0000014 -0000005 I can not get any further in than that.

Yes I have both the .ap files and the uncompressed files.

I wish I could help for testing this route, but I'm swamped in work for the next week or so.

The only thing I see missing from me (or Rich) in the file you uploaded, Bob, is the SR_Cajon track rules. Do you have the Cajon ScaleRail update installed?

As far as the Durango It's not checked and I used no assets from it, Track rules I have only used the default I have no idea past that. The only other track is the track on the 2 bridges Scale rail, The new version will eliminate a lot of the list I went back thru and made sure there are no assets from other than what was listed. Cleaned up a lot of stuff.

No I don't, but he is not using those tracks, he is using the default that come with the Lakeside route, G-Trax tracks.

If you still have the earlier version try substituting the entire MixMap folder and see if that fixes your crash. If it does then you could try that tile and a couple of others if necessary to fix the problem. I sure wish I knew what causes that because I had that problem in one spot. If I knew what causes it maybe we can prevent it from occurring.

Yes, but he's using the track rules, which may be just one of the reason for the errors (rules are used for any loft - track, roads, etc.). He should be able to decompress the Tracks.bin to XML, and then do a search and replace to use the G-Trax rules containing the list of track types used.

Still crashing in the same place, removing the corn did no good. Using your new xml did no good and there are still too many references in there for rolling stock. I do not have an older copy to try replacing the mixmaps with.

One method I use for troubleshooting is to one by one hide the directories in the route's content folder to see which one is causing the issue. This helps isolate it down a bit. I have found that TS2014 will start and run normally with any of these folders missing. The way I hide them is by renaming them.

So, for example, rename the Scenery folder to SceneryX. Start and run the route and see if the problem goes away. If it does, you know it is a scenery issue. If not, restore Scenery and move on to the next folder.

Do this for MixMap, Networks, Scenarios, Scenery, and Terrain.

Once you know what general category is causing the issue, you can dig deeper.
