Just personal preference but I really don't like the yellow headlights.

They are perhaps a bit too yellow, but look more like incandescent lights this way. The pure white headlights RSC has given most engines aren't prototypical at all.

You can tune the "colour" of the light emitter to your liking, however.

That is no "narrow nose" cabview, is it though?

Still a WIP, so no real harm done thus far ...

What kind of cab have these units? Standard spartan, or something a little more sophisticated?

Speaking of cabs, I sense a small commercial opportunity to create and sell replacement cabs with working instruments for the older engines like SD70 family and Dash9 etc.

That is not a Dash 8 Widecab, that is just a standard ES44 Cab.

1. It has the side controls, a Dash 8 would not have that.

2. The outside view has th grab irons in different places, more moved outwards.

A C40-8 Would have the side controls

Although the picture is from a C40-9, The cabs in the units are quite the same. I don't think the C40-8 Would have the electronic panels though.

This is the cab inside a NS Dash 8 widecab. RSC/DTG is just taking the easy way out.

DTG has deleted the GEVO cab post... looks like either they're messing with us or they screwed up again.

"Narrow Nose" again? !!bang!! *!rolleyes!*

Nice cab tho.

spartan cab is more correct term, but it is understandable
I like the cab rendering

also, cab on this loco has asymmetric windows . the one on driver's side is different from conductor's and model reflects that as on prototype

I pray for prototypical headlight switch, feature which RSC/DTG usually ignore.
meaning that it selects dim/med/bright, not front/back headlight, and more operable switches in the cab (numberboards, platform lights, etc)
