Running at 4fps

Postby shadesman89 » Mon Aug 11, 2014 8:42 pm

My TS is running at 4 fps
Specs
I5-3570k CPU 3.4 ghz
8gb of ram
Windows 8
1 terabyte hard disk.
Nova idea 620 Gt
Any suggestions to run faster

All routes have very low fps

What route and what train? That is about what I have although you failed to mention what your video card is which is likely the problem. So what video?

I'm sure he meant Nvidia 620 GT.

That graphics card is very underpowered for Train Simulator 2014, especially with TSX mode turned on. The first thing I would try is turn all the graphics settings in the game down as low as they will go and see if it runs smooth enough. If not, your only option is to upgrade the graphics card.

Unless you meant Novatech? If so, they are a supplier and not one of nVidia's manufacturers. FWIW, the card is an ultra-budget model and on one of the lowest rungs of the performance ladder. I don't think it's even offered any longer.

The gt 520 is not very powerful when it comes to gaming. You're going to have to lower your game settings to be able to run ts2014.

Gtx 660 should do fine for TS. If you get it make sure your power supply and motherboard can handle it. The gtx660 is a big step up from a gt 520.
