I think improved clouds is about the last thing on my list of importance when I am in game.

I'm rather disappointed that there are no pre-included freight-oriented routes, except hamburg-Hannover.

Will Standard scenarios still be playable?

There are at least a few yards for freight options on New York - New Haven, so it's not completely just a passenger line. And I'd expect that while standard scenarios will continue to be available, the only scenario's we'll see packaged with 2015 will be career (much like they started doing in 2014)

I agree that while the 3-D cloud system is nice, but it does little for a sim that's based on the ground. It will help most with fog (which are merely ground level clouds) and hopefully this will provide real-time cloud shadows. Maybe even true volumetric rain and snow. Either way, I believe the framerate hit will likely not be worth the effort. I hope we have the option to turn it off. Kinda like the TSX on/off option.

The "Academy" is an "OK" idea. Gives you a central place to learn the sim.

The enhanced snap feature sounds great. Anything that helps creation.

They say more announcements are on the way. Let's hope at least one is more significant that those revealed so far.

On the blog it said the clouds cascade their shadows onto the ground, so that's pretty cool, at least.
They exist everywhere. You may not see them, but they're there. Awww yeeeaaaahhhh, 20% Cooler! /)

No new information here really, just a brief recap of all that's been said.

For all you people saying that changing the clouds and skies in the game is pointless, think again! :D

!*roll-laugh*!

Have to agree. While nice to look at, to me clouds are not an integral part of the train simming experience. I would much rather see better steam and exhaust effects, but to each their own. I notice there was no information on updating legacy routes - if the eye candy is there we might as well use it, just need to find out how...
