Well 2 or 3 times a year the good folks in the County put on the feed bag and really go all out. Fresh steamed Corn, Smoked Meats, Channel Cat, Crappie, & Perch. Back Yard barbeque smoke really fills the air. Yep it's time for Harvest fest That means your gonna need some Charcoal. Who you gonna call Kingsford. I think not. Tucked away along side the Little Beaver River , North Woods Charcoal

Thanks Bills I hope you can say you have seen one after it's released. I hope that it is at least it is a fair representation of something I always thought could be a good revenue source for a short line RR.

Right next to it put a charcoal lighter manufacturer, then a cattle pen, then a potato producer.

All good suggestions, Thanks. But I think I'll wait till it's done then maybe one of you guys would like to edit the route and you can add those industries. We have our hands full trying to produce , finish and release something I hope will be enjoyable to run, immerse the player in a bit of realism, do it with mostly free ware and the assets included in the route, and get it out to everyone in a timely manner. If we can accomplish these things, We will have accomplished what we set out to do. I guess the community here will be the judge of our labors once it is released..

I wanted to post a couple shots of the Wood Chip Mill loader and the Un- loader for the main processing Mill. As you can see the mill is supplied by trucks hauling logs brought into the south end of the plant by truck & rail. They are unloaded if need be stored, graded and then sent to the Chip Mill as the plant schedule requires. Switching crews stay very busy as the un-loader can only handle 3-4 cars at a time, So there is a lot of movement back and forth, between the un loader, the storage tracks, and the loader.

As far as I recall, in North Dakota "potato producers" were called "Farmers". !*don-know!*

I guess I was thinking more of a produce distributor, or coop, I mean the industry that buys the farmers' produce.
Can't remember.
Haven't been on a farm for 40 years.

Well as a matter of fact to get to the Charcoal plant from the main line you have to run right thru the middle of the Saginaw City Farmers Co-op. Not sure about a brewery but I did see a couple old farmers out by the tree line with some copper tube's and a whole bunch of Sugar.
