Thanks everyone for the kind replies!

Euhm, Who is Robert? !**duh*!!

dejoh wrote:Looking really sharp. Glad your route is incorporating the use of signage on the buildings and streets. So many routes come out homogenized. Squeaky clean. No clutter, garbage,or junk cars. Sorry people, that's the real world. Signs are everywhere, especially next to railways and old buildings. Looking forward to running this route, it reminds me of a model railroad layout I once saw. Please continue. !!*ok*!!

Well, Some Billboards and the other small things here and there makes the City alive and that's what I'm aiming for *!!wink!!* Al tough, some additional 60's billboards and Signs would be very welcome (Rs is a bit low on them... everything is modern.... *!sad!* )

And Big J, that car looks great! thanks for building it!!

And now, not much for an update, remade the NHT terminal in New Holland. The loop is gone for good! Because of the hight difference, it was impossible to maintain it and have a decent road layout... I choose for the best solution, only bad thing is... There is no more PCC car running possible because of that! (well, also because the platforms now are way too high for those things anyway...)

The new NHT terminal in New Holland. It had a third platform in the past, but when passengers dropped, it wasn't needed anymore and made way for a four lane road... Untill the Station buildings are finnished, HSC stuff is temporary placed...
Rss69.jpg

An overview at the WIP New Holland town. Downtown is for 70% done (house placement that is...), And the rest... There is still a huge pile of HSC houses that need to replaced by 100% freeware houses. It will be a big job, but that's the cost for eliminating every Payware asset so that everyone can enjoy if for free! (except for the community assets...)
Rss70.jpg

As everyone can see, there is still a lot of work to do.. For everyone who wants to drive on it when it's done, I'd recommend a powerfull PC! Since i'm putting a lot of details (even when you can't always see them right away) in a lot of places, like New Holland. Even with my PC build, my FPS drops to 23FPS when i drive towards New Holland and the bas new is: it will only get worse i guess *!lol!*....

Cheers,
Bob

I have some old billboards that I made for Mike's route that I can probably share with you. I'll ask him and see what he thinks.

Blue River RR Billboards A.jpg

Blue River RR Billboards B.jpg

Blue River RR Billboards C.jpg

From what I heard something bad happened with his route and I'm not sure if it will be redone, so I might be able to share not only the billboards with you but also the houses as well. There were a couple that I had built for his route and one I never finished, but I still have.

If anything, I'll build you some new billboards soon, all of that is already on the list, but there's a lot to do and it will take a while to do it all, including as we all know, vehicles, those are some of the first's and the main things that need to be done.

...Cheers...

Jonathan

...Also, before I finish the car I'm going to finish the firetruck real soon and get it sent to you. It is the correct era and area for the route as well.

Some more progress on the 1950 Buick Roadmaster Riviera for the route. Next I'm going to start working on the wrap around bumpers and then the mirrors, license plate and the white wall tires.

It will come in several versions, including rusted out junk versions.

Very soon I should be able to start making paints of the car and will be able to send them over for use on the route.

Coming to a sim near you, the first model of the 1950 Buick Roadmaster's is done and tomorrow I'm going to start painting it.

I must say that it came out much better then the Bel Air, in fact for a 50's car this is the best one I've ever done, and better then most of my 60's cars.

These will be some more custom assets for the route and will help bring even more life to it.

Fixed the front of the hood, before it wasn't correct. Here's how it looks now that it's fixed, looks much better now.

Two more versions, this time it's a poor man's car in 1968.

First, needs body work and needs engine work.
1950 Buick Roadmaster Riviera V3 A.jpg

1950 Buick Roadmaster Riviera V3 B.jpg

Second, it's rusted out and needs a new body as well as needs engine work, the interior also is in bad shape because of sitting out for so long. Although, when you have very little money in 1968 it's the perfect car and about the only car you might be able to afford.
1950 Buick Roadmaster Riviera V4 A.jpg

1950 Buick Roadmaster Riviera V4 B.jpg

I'm going to do a couple more versions and then I'll send these over.

Now there are 12 versions of the 1950 Buick Roadmaster coupe, and the 5 newest ones also have the visor on the front like some actually had back in 1950.
1950 Buick Roadmasters A.jpg

1950 Buick Roadmasters B.jpg

1950 Buick Roadmasters C.jpg

1950 Buick Roadmasters D.jpg

I'll get these packaged up and then will send it out for use on the route, the Buick's will come special with the route as freeware.

Next, more variations and more rusted versions and more ones with different color parts.

...Cheer...

JP

Now, back to the stations and the buildings for the route, as well as the firetruck that still needs to be finished.

A rusted car for the route.

A junk car barely running anymore.

And a rusted car with salvaged parts.

Also coming up for the route next as well, like they say, the route needs some vans as well, this will be a model of a 1968 Chevrolet G-100 Van.

...Cheers...

This is all for today since I work today, I'll get these packaged up and sent over for use on the route.
