I know in the directory, there is a application called "ConvertToDav" but when I try to start it, it doesn't load at all. But thats what the horn file needs to be in I think. I'm trying to make my own horn for the ES44AC and the SD40.

Maybe the program will load for you.

Hi, I'm pretty sure it's like RWAceTool.exe, just drop your .wav file on it and it will convert.

Hi, I meant it's like RWAceTool, you just drag your file onto the program, so you would take your .wav file and drag it onto the ConvertToDav program.

The folder where you dragged your .wav file from.

Well.. I tried dragging it over. Nothing. It hovers over it saying "Open With ConvertToDav". And I wait a few minutes. No other files come up. I tried switching where I saved the file to. I'll try to figure it out sometime.

You don't have to convert to dav, the game will use wav files also.

I tried added the horn I wanted in the directory in the wav format. I named it exactly how it was supposed to be. But I go ingame and they do not sound at all.

I have changed the horn sounds on my locomotives, it's pretty easy.

1.Convert the engine bin file to xml with serz we will use that later
2.Get your sound files (you should have 3 a start, loop, and end) they have to be wav and you need to make sure that they are mono not stereo or else there will be no Doppler effect
3.Open the xml file with notepad then find the dav file names in the xml file change the .dav to .wav
4.Make sure that you rename the new sound files to match the old ones

that should be it, I will make a video of the my new sounds.
