X2 I'm wondering about this as well. After my first ride on an Amtrak train a few months ago, I now know that those F59s release and go from a stop. They clearly don't wait for minutes or even seconds for the train brakes to recharge before they can go.
I've done enough train watching in my life, to also know that when a train's signal turns green so the can leave after a stop, they don't take something like a whole minute to get going either. Not even 5000 ft of train.
I'm not saying train brakes release instantly like on a car, but they don't normally take 30 seconds or a minute either...
Now on the other hand, when they just cut in a line of cars, that's different, they do indeed take a couple of minutes to charge the system on cars that have been sitting for a few days in a siding.

I just wish they would do the route all the way to Calgary.... *!rolleyes!*

Hey bigroyboyski, do you think you could put out your freeware Kicking Horse Pass here on RWA? Your route goes farther east than the payware one; I really want to continue the run to Banff or even to Calgary.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese? *!lol!* :D !!*ok*!!

How far east does this route go?
Mine goes a few miles out of Banff. I wonder if they aren't going that far as the google earth pictures are of zero use for a few miles near castle mountain until just outside Banff.
Unfortunately on my route I wasn't happy with how a lot off the DEM looked so I reset it. This was literally a week before I knew this version was coming out for sure so most of my line is buried or floating apart from a few sections I'd been working on. Because of this and the fact a lot of my route still had no scenery I see no point in releasing what I have done. Sorry *!sad!*

Although what you could do is when you get this version of the route you could just extend the line yourself and make it as an addon to the route. it will have to be an addon using an installer like hack has been doing with his scale rail modifications that way you aren't really redistributing the route to people who don't have it as the installer shouldn't work if you don't have the route.

The route goes to Eldon. I see why the route would stop there...

Sorry to hear about your route there... *!sad!*

In the mean time, while we wait in anticipation for the route check out a Canadian comedian, Rick Mercer. Check out Rogers Pass. :D

Im not sure, but I believe its milepost who has the license and rsc is being allowed to work with it for this project.

It's good to see the yard at Golden is included in the route.

I was hoping for this today as well. There is nothing new at this point today and usually something comes out on Thursdays. Perhaps it will still show up a little later today. Otherwise I have to patiently wait at least another week *!sad!*
