Although as an aviation enthusiast and student I'd respectfully disagree with your assessment of airliners, I do agree GEVOs are boring, but they're the most logical choice if only one or two locomotives are going to be included. They're everywhere.[/quote]
Indeed I believe total gevo production is around 5500 units at this point in time?

When I made my statement about the gevos I wasn't bashing them, I was just saying it would be nice to have some ace's thrown into the mix. That's all !!*ok*!!

This is really cool - I always thought that Rogers Pass would be great for virtual railroading. The photo does look like Morant's Curve and from what I can tell it's about 150 miles from Morant's Curve to Revelstoke so it is possible to fit both Kicking Horse Pass and Rogers Pass into the same route.

I am really looking forward to this.

I'm really excited to see the spiral tunnels. Is there the possibility that this route will start in Calgary? Maybe from there to Vancouver?

that would be cool. I think it would be better to go from keith yard witch is out side of Calgary to field bc. alyth yard is big yard in the city and that could kill framerate so much for this game. keith is somewhat small yard I think it somewhat same as Shelby in marias pass. and it just out of the city that you can enter city and see downtown. yet not so populatated to point it so laggy even for high end pc.

If the route is going to include both the Laggan and Mountain Subdivisions, that would be Calgary, AB to Revelstoke, BC. Yes, it would include Calgary!

I think for size wise the route will run from Banff to Revelstoke. Banff has a few sidings, a station and a wye.
I would love to see the Rocky Mountineer as a future add on for this route.

But Banff isn't a division point on the CP, Calgary is, though. The only trains that stop there are trains that are put into the siding and the Rocky Mountaineer. I'd like to run some old 1980's VIA equipment on the route! Let's have some FP9s and F40s, shall we? !!*ok*!!

I've had a DVD on the Kicking Horse Pass region primarily featuring the VIA Canadian in the winter of 1987, since I was four years old! I've never been anywhere near the region, but watching that movie for so long has made this route a part of my early childhood! *!lol!*

I would love to see Calgary to Revelstoke however it is over 250 Miles and I have my doubts they would build a route that large.

Weird, I have a tape somewhere that I would always watch when I was young, maybe around 7 years old, that I would watch when my parents wanted to keep me busy. Anyways it followed the VIA Canadian, I can't remember where to where but all I remember is that it was made for kids and the same people did something on the space shuttle too I think. I wouldn't be able to find it if I tried. *!lol!* Small world.

I remember those films too!!! *!lol!* Except that the one with the Canadian there followed the route over the Canadian National route over the rockies, not CPs...
