The derailing after save of trailing truck locos seems to have been fixed.

The K4 comes back after saves going 58 mph.

!!*ok*!!

I wasn't planning on buying TS2014 cuz I already own Donner Pass and don't care about the other routes..... then you had to go and tell me this. I'm both an SP and EMD nut. Hmmmmm.
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

FWIW, I just did a fresh reboot and TS2014 loads lightning quick - even on this old system.

You mean your WIP's, which probably are still small and empty of assets?

On that 4 GB 64 bit laptop which is now in offline mode, none of the 3rd party routess load, some even give no poof at all, the Railworks process just hangs with around 390 MB in the task manager, where I have to quit it from.

Could ether be some secret online dependency, DRM hook, or is it just the lack of a Collection screen picture of that route or repaint? That didn't bothered TS2013 before.

Perhaps some key assets got shifted around?

I think it kinda has to learn. I had a couple of failures but then when I went back and tried them again they worked.

You mean like rebuilding blueprint caches? I have run delete-pak.bat so there should be no TS2013 leftovers.
Running RW_Tools on the new TS2014 now, perhaps it'll give me some clues. Even then, a new RW_Tools might be in order if key dependencies have shifted.

RSC gives no clue as to what 3rd party stuff has been tested OK?
It seems their routes work OK, how typical.

Anyways, it will take a while to get things sorted and hear from the 3rd party devs as to solutions for their commercial DLC. Freeware devs are back to their own resources again.

Other than that, TS2013 looks a bit snappier in the fps, but otherwise looks and feels the same once past all the startup and selection screens.

my seattle and soo line tracks.bin files are causing the game to crash for just these two routes. not amused! I used a previous version of tracks.bin and still no good.

All my third party routes and assets so far have worked just fine after a couple of starts and THANKS HACK for that clue on hitting the escape key.

How do you know, Eyein? I noticed there are a few lines of parsing messages right after the start up senquece, including the version number, but they seem to concern scenarios only.
Probably just to fill the grid. The routes only get loaded once selected for play.
So far it has been SBHH incarnate, no helpful information or logs I have yet discovered.

Ian,
I haven't had time to run the route much yet but the Soo loads just fine and no track issues so far.

Buzz, I know it is probably still too early to dive deep into this, but can you tell which 3rd party routes are OK on your end?
I only have COARW v4.5 and v5 beta, P&LE, NSAND, VNERR-PA and New Haven installed, and none of them work in TS2014 now.

I think Buzz is onto something? I had the same issue with my Montour route, at first it would not load in the editor and I could not run any of the scenarios. I went to tools and deleted the game cache and restarted both my computer and the game. After the restart I still could not get into my route using the editor. But I was able to run the free roam scenarios for my route. After a few minutes of free roam I went into the world editor using the <CTRL> + <E> keys and was able to edit my route in the editor. I'm now able to edit my route using the editor menu option. So it does seem like Rail Works is updating things behind the scene. If something does not work at the moment, give it 10 minutes and try again.

Also like Marc stated, use the Esc key to skip the opening movie and when you get tired of listening to the background music you can go into TOOLS and turn the background music off.

OK. Thanks, Buzz.

So from reading the last couple of positing on 3rd party routes, the advice is to just let them stew for a while and do a few restarts/reboots to let TS2014 do its thing.
Gives me time to read the manual and the TS2014 EULA pdf.

Come tomorrow, a lot will have become clear wether our mileage has varied.

PS: all RSC DLC routes worked fine on my end.
