What? Could you explain to me what you mean by that? Do you mean to have a setting with the locomotive? Because you cando that with your settings through the entire game

What i was saying is that i have a not so great computer and with that much detail my computer would die. And i was wondering if there would be an option to turn the super fine details off while leaving larger details.

You can turn nodes in the GEO on and off using LUA. Make a high detail set of nodes, and a low detailed set of nodes. Then create a control and mapping entry to switch them (like you would number boards).

That's exactly what I did with the Connie. I put a lot of the nuts, bolts and rivets, and most of the cab detail in the exterior model, into groups that are toggled using ctrl shift 1. It's very easy. You just have to organise the groups (groups in 3DC, nodes in 3DSMax) conveniently.

Looks great, a lot of detail. I will be interested how this train is handled by computers in TS with what it seems to be a lot of polys. :D

Didn't you know that they are assembling this part by part?

... I'm surprised I haven't seen any nuts and bolts...

How have you missed the nuts and bolts? !*roll-laugh*! Look at the end of the sun-shade. Bolts. And there's nuts on page 6. !*salute*!

Thats a hinge pin, not a bolt.

actually this is getting really scary. At the rate you are moving, just how long will you take to finish the cab?

Well, yes, but that is serious detail for such a small part!
