Ohhhhh.... so
that's what they do with "snatched" domains that have traffic.

I say "snatched" because my registrar told me the domain would not be publicly available until Oct. 18th but records show that they sold it on the 10th. Don't trust registrars and don't ever forget to renew your domain unless you enjoy being fleeced. After I forgot to renew it, I refused to pay the rip-off price; well, I hope someone gets their money's worth.
So, COARW.com is GONE, folks. I think we need a new place to chat about the COA though and I do hope to release a COA 5 someday in the not too distant future. COA beta 4.5 is no longer available for download but I do hope to find and repost the few add-ons that had only been posted at the COARW.com site somewhere, perhaps here at RWA if there is interest in them. I am chatting with Bob about what direction to take with this, and Coaltrain also offered space for a forum (are you reading? msg me). Is it important to keep the downloads and forum in the same place? I wonder what the COA fans think?
The future of the route is
hopeful barring any more obstacles from TS changes or my ailments. I am working on the route, but I am enjoying it more without promises, deadlines or expectations so I've been staying quiet about it. The route is now about 72 miles (Covington to Hinton) of mostly completed track so now there are logical beginning and ending points for run-throughs. I've filled in a lot of the missing scenery over the 38 miles of the 4.5 version, but have a ways to go on scenery around the new track. A lot of time has been spent reworking the files for my repaint assets and there are changes to the route (the last I hope!) so scenarios for version 4.5 will probably not work on version 5 without some rework. The signal problem has been fixed, superelevation is implemented where possible and I am currently replacing signal heads with the new RCAP C&O heads (they look great!).
That gorgeous model of the Hinton station will be a very nice addition to the route! To those few who got ahold of the previous beta 5, remember there were changes to that version so only the scenarios that came with it will work without some editing. I can't tell you what effects the TS'14 .ap files have had on either COA version; I've been awaiting the dust settling before even going there. I am still editing in TS'13. I gave considerable thought to removing any assets supplied by RSC but that is just not a realistic option for me since I don't make my own models and have no interest in doing so. When I get to a share-worthy version of the future beta 5, I will remake the asset paks to suit the new RSC distribution model but installation will be harder (and not free) for new adopters of the route. However, I think most of its fans, like me, are now "old hats" (or "long-termers"? lol) who already have most of the same assets.
Hey Buzz, I really like that sig line!
