Super support for VNHRR Route.

Unread postby Railroy19 » Mon Sep 02, 2013 7:23 am

I was trying to populate my own scenario on the New Haven rr route and I could not get a particular engine to show up. Could not figure it out. So I sent the author of the route an e-mail telling him about my problem figuring sometime after the weekend he would give me some advice to solve my problem. Well this morning I received an e-mail response from Michael with the solution and that was 7:00 AM EST. How about that for support. I'm loving this route so much it really depicts this local area and has so many possiblities, I'm going to extend it up North to Holyoke the Paper Capitol of the country. !!*ok*!!

Thanks Michael

Michael has always been great on the service, whether it is a general question or download issue. When you factor in time differentials to Europe, the poor guy doesn't seem to have a life !*roll-laugh*!

I too am looking forward to the release of the next section (just need to find some time to discover the part I have now !*roll-laugh*! )

!!*ok*!!

Hope you guys are right, I've just sent him/them an email due to an SBHH issue on the Winter Coal Deliveries Scenario...had no problems with Bradley Field Distribution scenario and not getting any SBHH issues on any other routes....
Overall love the route, I bought the route as a way of thanking Great Northerner(MS) for all the enjoyment of his(and others) freeware IIR...

I had the same problem with that scenario. As I was driving towards the Springfield yard right at the overhead signal it goes black. I tried it about four times and the same thing happens. I have no idea what causes this. I have cloned the route so I can add trackwork for continuos running and it happens more on that route in several spots SBHH.
I still love this route and can't beleive how accurate the placement is of certain buildings and stations. I know this whole area very well. A lot of work went into this route.

I had the same thing happen to the Winter Coal Delivery scenario on VNHRR. I had a very pleasant e-mail exchange with Michael Stephan (GreatNortherner) about it and he acknowledges the scenario has issues and he assured me that when v 1.0 is released it will be addressed. He said that he and Bob (the co-creator) had multiple problems trying to get the scenario to complete. His exact statement - "This scenario will receive a big overhaul before 1.0 gets launched..."

Patience, Grasshopper... This is, after all, a beta pre-release.

Yes, RR19, that's exactly the spot where the SBHH happens(verified files, cleared cache etc.)...I can accept it's in beta as well. A short reply to that effect would have been nice, but this forum did the trick...thnx

Hi,

Thanks for all your messages. The crash affecting the Coal Deliveries issue has been reported by several users, it's one of our known issues that will be addressed with the upcoming version 1. My apologies to all who played this scenario and got the dreaded Something Bad Has Happened so near the end of the run.

Marc is right, "This scenario will receive a big overhaul before 1.0 gets launched..." -- we'll also edit the work order of the scenario so you can re-run it in v1.0 and won't have to do the same things all over again.

Michael

PS: Sorry for the late reply, been in bed with a nasty cold all week long and didn't visit RWA. A sad week indeed!
