Well pewp... part of the terrain just vanished on me. Worst part, the backup was two weeks old *!embar*! and about 6 days work needs to be redone. To keep my "by Christmas" promise, I may release a beta version completed to Odell and the sawmill area finished. I'll keep you posted. - MM

Thanks, I did a railfan run about two weeks ago, looking at the fall colors on the Mt. Hood RR. Got some nice pictures, but found out that the sawmill at Dee is not operating any more, and the Odell sawmill is also gone. the area where it used to be is now all small manufacturing and fruit processing. None of them use the rails for shipping. I'm almost finished to to Odell, and finished the Dee sawmill to represent it's glory days (and generate loads out and demand loads in!).

No idea if it will be done by Christmas. !*don-know!*

A little update: I've almost completed the scenery up to Odell (MP8) and some in Odell Proper. The Dee sawmill area is done (MP16), and a little work in the Parkdale area. After some consideration, I've decided to backdate the line about 6 years, that will leave the Dee sawmill in full operation, and the Odell mill as just abandoned, with demolition incomplete. That would leave a large range of locomotives that could be used.

Of course, there would be nothing stopping some one from say, installing Britkits great 0-8-0 or the Selkirks 4-4-0 and 2-8-0(the line founded in 1901) and using it to service the line. (hmmmmmm... wonder if DickyJim would extend his work to a USRA Prairie type????)

More screens and a schematic of the riverside industrial area.

Oh, for the record: I used my Creative License (#MM1024B) for most of this, trying to make it a bit more fun. !*roll-laugh*!

I like the "operations" chart! I planned to write out my operations reference; now I wish it would fit on my chart (which is already too cluttered, lol).

There is a half-height gondola out there that [un]loads sand; someone just needs to animate it with JB's invisible "yellow dust" (grain) [un]loaders. I know someone that is pretty good at doing that... (is he reading this...?).

I've been looking forward to experiencing this route as I will be moving to Oregon about 2 years hence and am anxious to ride all of the scenic (and Amtrak) routes there! No rush though, I prefer quality over speed.

Just a quick update: Somehow, my files got corrupted and an earlier version and the current version combined. It locks up every time, and I can't even get RW_Tools to sort it.

The last pure backup is about 4 weeks old, so I am going to have to redo several miles of work. One silver lining; I discovered the SAD scenery pack and it's making it look better!

So, the question is, would you folks like a BETA release that has the industrial area and river canyon finished? The track is all laid and drivable, 21 miles of grades and sidings are in place.

Thanks, MM

Here is an asset list... some of the items don't have links and I'd like some help if you know where to find them.

I imagine there's a few others, but they seem to be from RW itself

The Big Horn Sub is up to V-3.1 in the Library here at RWA. I'm guessing those files are in it as well.

Posted in the file section.

You'll need Project Platform and Allaboard's Ft Kent for several of the assets.

Please, let me know of any problems.

Thanks,
