Talgo trains are very significant to US rails case in point Amtrak Cascades and the Vegas train from back in the day. This is the first ever Talgo Set we have had for this game. pretty major otherwise i wouldn't have reported it. hehe!

Either way this opens doors to new things especially for repaints. Also the creator gave us a teaser of the real US version to come. i find reporting to have very beneficial to keep people in the loop about all those other places that don't get press that often.

Let's not forget that there are also new sets underway in real-life: two sets for the State of Wisconsin and an additional two for Oregon
They are manufactured in the US and the first set currently undergoes testing in Milwaukee.

However, these new talgos are an updated version of the ones we talk about here.
E.g. they feature their own (very ugly) cabcar.

They are the exact same setup as the old Vegas train with as Timm mentioned the Cabcar



I hope Amtrak uses more Talgos system wide other than the NEC on all their routes with low platforms.

So, would these make better NJ Transit Passenger Coaches than the UK Stock MK3's I re-skinned? If so, I don't mind replacing the re-skins.

No, Talgos can't run on the NEC because of the Platform height. These Cars are only for low platform areas hence why they are mostly only found in the Pacific Northwest.

Strictly speaking, they probably could be. If my memory is accurate, it would have involved one step down from the platform. Years back, this was the same arrangement for UA's TurboTrains, and many years prior to that, was the same as that used on the New Haven's Talgo set, as well as one of the other two lightweight sets the New Haven ran on what is now the NEC's northern end. The one difficulty would be with respect to the strictest interpretation of ADA, however this would be more easily accommodated from a high platform than from the low platforms.

That said, they'd be less suitable for NEC commuter service because their capacity is lower than what's already out there.

I didn't have any in the Iberian gauge version. I haven't checked the UIC version yet.
