The models that were updated must have their skins re-created as well. There is no way around that.

Old models do not have lights or windows because it is not defined in their blueprints. RSC could have had all models with the exact same raindrop effect, and lighting effect, or do it the way they have and let each locomotive be unique.

Think the rain is done with a new shader, which means re-exporting every model. That is not a particularily quick job, given all the testing needed.

You really can't map a new model to be 100% like an old one, there was no realistic way old reskins are going to work properly on new models.

I think we all kinda knew that reskins, sound mods and sky mods were not going to work. None of mine do. Game (OK, sim) went back to box stock default.

Not true, only anything that requires the (now modified) default files.

Neither one of my sound mods work, neither does the weather mod. Guess it's my install. I do have backups to reinstall, just haven't had time yet.

The wagon sound mod works for me (I can live without this!). I have not tried to add the Armstrong weather back in yet.
