Introduction:

While rebuilding the OVSRails database, I was going through the old COA_Equipment file searching for original equipment files, I found a few that could not be found. All were repaints of the Kuju Coal hopper,

AECX, AP1, AP2, CRIX, CR and CSX. I decided to try my hand at repainting and started with the private cars AECX (Associated Electric Cooperative), AEPX (2 versions of American Electric Power Co.) and CRIX

(Citicorp Railmark Inc). I've also included one car for TILX (Trinity Industries Leasing).

Prototype Information:

These repaints are based on either actual photos of cars or models from Athearn and Walthers found online. Due to limitations of the model used, completely prototypical paint job couldn't be accomplished.

Placement of the automatic numbers are 1 panel to the right of where they are on the prototypes. Also, unlike flight simulator textures use both sides of an aircraft with the sides mirroring each other (similar to

slitting a fish down the belly and spreading it out on a table), train simulator textures have separate end panels but the sides only use 1 panel. This causes the sides to be "wrapped around" the car rather than mirroring,

so colour patches on one side will be at the wrong end on the other side. Because of these anomalies, the cars won't be completely prototypical, but you'll get the general idea!

Requirements:

This package requires the G113 coal gondola included in "Train Simulator: Norfolk Southern Coal District Route Add-On" found in the steam store:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/258654/Train_Simulator_Norfolk_Southern_Coal_District_Route_AddOn. These repaints won't work without this route being installed.

Installation:

Use the train simulator utilites program (utlities.exe) found in the Railworks directory to install the Private_Coal_Gondola_Set.rwp included in this zip file.

After installation, in your Railworks installation, navigate to:

Assets\RSC\PennCoal\RailVehicles\Freight\Coal_Gondola_G113 and copy Coal_Gondola_G113.GeoPcDx.

Then go back up to Assets\RSC\PennCoal\RailVehicles\Freight and paste it into Coal_Gondola_G113_AECX, ....AEPX1, ....AEPX2, ....CRIX and ....TILX

The repaints can be found listed as Coal_Gondola_G113_AECX, ....AEPX1, ....AEPX2, ....CRIX and ....TILX
