Olympian Hiawatha Erie-Built "stand-ins" for DTM's payware PRR Baldwin DR6-4-2000

Milwaukee Fairbanks-Morse Erie-Built; 04 AUG 2019.

Erie-Built "stand-ins" for DTM's payware PRR Baldwin DR6-4-2000 (@ Steam Store). There are no changes to the original DTM Baldwin bodies; only the Paintwork was changed to lend the appearance of the Hiawatha Erie-Builts. Credits to DTM developers Ricardo Rivera, Gary Dolzall, the Dovetail Team, and Ferroclub Argentino for creating the locomotive which served as the foundation for these repaints.

Repaints of the Milwaukee Road's Erie-Built Olympian Hiawatha units which began service in 1947. There were fourteen A-units and six B-unis on the roster. The A-units were numbered 5A–9A, 5C–9C, 21A, 21B, 22A, 22B; and later renumbered as 5A–14A, 11B–14B. The B-units were numbered 5B–9B, 21C, with 21C renumbered 10B. This repaint features dynamic numbering to represent only the single-digit units. Units were rated at 2,000 hp with a tractive effort of 54,850 lbf. The car-bodies were designed by the renowned industrial designer Raymond Loewy. Despite service with eight different railroads, none of the total 82x A-units and 29x B-units produced from December 1945 to April 1949 have survived; the last remnant (CP Rail conversion of PRR B-unit to rail welding car) being scrapped in 2010.
