exclusively for the payware VRC ATSF U28CG (VRC E-Store)

Description

Northern Pacific U33C Pack 1 ; 14 APR 2018.

Repaints by Rudi Jaeger, exclusively for the payware VRC ATSF U28CG (VRC E-Store).

------------------------------

Includes 5 individually weathered repaints, with historically accurate road numbers: 3300 / 3302 / 3306 / 3307 / 3308. Credits to the original developer for providing the textures which served as the foundation for these repaints.

------------------------------

Installation:

1. Transfer the Assets folder (from this zip file) into your main Railworks folder. Note: There are no requirements to overwrite anything.

2. Copy the following file from your pre-existing "Railworks/Assets/VRC/U30C-Series/RailVehicles/Diesel/U30C_P1/ATSF/Engine" folder:

u30c_classlights.GeoPcDx

..and paste it into the "Engine" folder of the freshly installed NP folder. Note; this Geo file is not required for any of the additional engine folders.
3. Be Careful now, we're switching to a different folder (Engine2); Copy the  following Geo files from your pre-existing "Railworks/Assets/VRC/U30C-Series/RailVehicles/Diesel/U30C_P1/ATSF/Engine2" folder:

u30c_a.GeoPcDx
u30c_b.GeoPcDx
u30c_c.GeoPcDx
u30c_cab.GeoPcDx
u30c_cabDN.GeoPcDx
u30c_d.GeoPcDx

..and paste them into ALL (5) "Engine" folderS of the freshly installed NP folder.

Mission complete.

When using the scenario builder, be sure to select "VRC" then check the box for "GE U30C-Series" from the right-side flyout panel. Locomotives will display in the scenario builder's "selected" assets menu (left-side flyout) as "GE U28CG NP". Due to it's unique file configuration, this pack features a combination of dynamic numbers for the number boards and static numbers for the cab-sides. To match the number boards to the cab-side numbers, you will need to place each selected locomotive onto the track(s) until a match is achieved, then delete the non-matching locos before proceding to the next selection. Fortunately, there are only ten road numbers to deal with, so this process usually does not take very long. Unfortunately, we won't be able to match numbers in quick-drive and career modes. If this is a show-stopper for you, I have also painted a pack for the VRC Chessie U30C (Steam Store), which does not have the inherint numbering issue; but the Chessie model does not feature the U28CG's nose lamp, which was typical on NP locos.
