Installation:
Since these repaints are based upon a payware product, the model files are not included, so this is something you'll need to do after you install the repaints.
Before you begin, be aware that these repaints are based on two different GP9 models; the BN model for the dynamic brake version, and the GN model for the non-dynamic version. So it will be critical to install only the RSC GP9 "Geo" files pertaining to each specific model, which is described in the following instructions:
1. Copy/Paste or "Drag-n-Drop" the Assets Folder into Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks Folder (or where-ever your main Railworks folder is located if you did a custom install). Or you can drill down to the loco folders in the zip file and transfer them directly to the GP9 folder of your RSC GP9 Pack. Either way works.
For reference, here's the full default address to where all your individual GP9 folders reside: Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC\GP9Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\individual_folder
And now, the "attention to detail" part:
2. In the Railworks folder, go to Assets\RSC\GP9Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\ and locate the BN folder. Inside this folder you will see two additional folders - CabView and Engine. Inside the Cabview folder, copy the file "gp9_cab.GeoPcDx" and paste it into the corresponding CabView folder of the following three NP GP9 folders (and ONLY these three)
"NP GP9 200 db" - "NP GP9 243 db" - "NP GP9 316 db".
Remember, the folders with the "db" suffix (dynamic brakes) are based on the BN model, which is why only the Geo files from the BN folder can be used.
3. Go back to the BN folder and copy the file "GP9_01.GeoPcDx" from the Engine folder and repeat the process by pasting into the Engine folder of those same three GP9 folders (again, ONLY these three): "NP GP9 200 db" - "NP GP9 243 db" - "NP GP9 316 db".
That completes the dynamic brake models; on to the remaining non-dynamic models...
4. In the main GP9 folder where you found the BN folder; locate the GN folder. This is a different model, but we'll follow the same method as before: copy the "gp9_cab.GeoPcDx" file from the GN CabView folder, and paste it into the Cabview folder of the remaing NP GP9's (the one's without the "db" suffix). Now do the same with the "GP9_01.GeoPcDx" file located in the GN Engine folder, pasting to the remaing NP Engine folders.
Mission complete!
Once you activate the RSC GP9 Pack in the scenario builder, you'll see them listed with the rest of the RSC EMD GP9's as "EMD GP9 NP + Road Number". Dynamic brake models have the "db" suffix.

Release notes:
- Headlights and number boards are functional on the non dynamic brake models; but the dynamic brake models will require keeping their lights off unless they are coupled (MU'd) to the rear of a non-dynamic model. Otherwise, there will be bright white rectangles where the numbers should be. Apparently, this is an on-going issue whenever numbers are painted directly onto the number boards, which I had to do for the "db" versions.
- Each loco is individually numbered and weathered so they will be unique when MU'd. Colors were sampled directly from photos of NP locos. I actually saw these locos in action when I was a youngster, so I tried to convey the "look and feel" of the prototypes into the paintwork. Also, the numbering is correct for each specific model.
- The existing texture files from the RSC product were used as a basis, and I simply applied my own paint layers and details over them, slightly modifying some alpha channels. So all credit to the original developer for creating the foundation for these repaints.
- Special thanks to Derek Siddle for his masterful work on the RSC GP9. And to Micheal "MadMike" Calvin for posting the first NP GP9 repaint in the RWA library, which inspired me to paint some more.

Disclaimer: These files are for your personal enjoyment and are not to be redistributed. This product shall remain freeware and is to be hosted exclusively by Railworks America (this is my small "Thank You" to them and all the RWA content developers for the many files I've downloaded there). I am not responsible for any issues you may encounter after downloading the file; it is your responsibilty to follow the installation instructions to achieve a correct setup. I have only tested these files in free-roam scenario creation and they work just fine, as long as the RSC GP9 Pack is selected in the assets flyout panel. If for any reason you are having difficulties with the installation, please contact me at Railworks America, or seek guidance in the forum; there is also plenty of useful information available from the search function - please try that method first. Thanks!
I hope you will enjoy running your new GP9s!
