Requires the "Train Simulator: Metro-North Kawasaki M8 EMU Add-On" as supplied via Steam.

These repaints have been made to give a "REPRESENTATION" of the MTA Long Island Rail Road M7 and M9 EMUs.

They cannot be 100% accurate as the Kawasaki M8 differs in many ways to both the Bombardier M7 and the soon to be introduced Kawasaki M9 (August 2017 ? ).

The M7 and M9 are 750 volt Third Rail only units and so do not have a pantograph. Therefore I have chosen to repaint only the Third Rail versions of the M8. The "preload" consists included, use only the "B " units, i.e. those without pantographs. I recommend that, for improved realism, you use only the non panto units in your own consists. However, this means that there will be no passenger view in such consists, as it is ailiased to the A units. The preloaded consists will work in Quick Drive scenarios, but will only for Quick Drives on sections of the route equipped with Third Rail electrification. They should generate AI traffic as appropriate on the New York- New Haven route.
The M7 has custom 7xxx series numbers.

How to Install
...............

1. If you are reading this, you have already unzipped the downloaded file to a temporary location e.g. your desktop.

2. If you have not done so already, go to "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01" and unzip the file "M8Pack01Assets.ap" to the same location.

3. From your temporary location, copy the contents of the folder "PreLoad" and paste them into the folder "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/PreLoad".

4. From the tempory location, copy the folders "M7LIRR" and M9LIRR" and paste them into "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/RailVehicles/Electric".

5. From "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/RailVehicles/Electric/M8MTA/Engine" copy the GEOPCDX files "M8_A" and "M8_B" and paste them both into:
"Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/RailVehicles/Electric/M7LIRR/Engine" and also paste both into: "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/RailVehicles/Electric/M9LIRR/Engine".

6. Go to "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01" and delete the file "Blueprints.pak". This will not harm your installation.

5. Clear Cache!

That should be it !
