WELCOME!

Hello, and thank you for your interest in downloading the ALCo S2! Many hours went in to re-creating this elegantly simple, yet magnificent piece of historical American engineering. The S2 pales in comparison to the locos of today, but it was once a remarkable workhorse in its day. It was highly sought after by numerous railroad companies across the country for its short haul and yardwork switching capabilities. Over 1,500 were constructed in only 10 years! Some are still in operation today, some 70 years later.

I hope that this S2 enhances your Train Sim experience.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
****************

This S2 download wouldn't be possible without the magnanimous assistance of others:

I'm tremendously grateful for the generous amounts of expertise, general railroad knoweledge, scripts, comments, advice, and concise direction offered by Rick Grout (RickSan). Rick graciously allowed me to use some of the original sounds from his ALCo RS-1, which I later modified. In fact, the "guts" of this S2 are heavily infused with the genetic makeup of Rick's RS-1. His scripts brought it to life! My heartfelt, humble thanks to Rick for everything.

Dan Vystrcil (papaxpress) was very instrumental to to my work as he was the one who poured diesel into the S2's carborator and got this thing up and running in Train Sim for the first time! He constructed a skeletal structure to the S2 blueprint, which paved the way for me to continue onward. I am grateful. Thank you, Dan.

Michael Stephan (GreatNortherner) was (and still is) a huge influence on the S2's completion, as he offered critical pieces of information at critical times, keeping me from quitting by solving tons of problems I struggled with along the way.
Vielen Danke, Michael!

MadMike1024 did a great job of creating 3 additional liveries for the S2, and helped out with troubleshooting the Painter's template. Thanks Mike!

For the other contributors, I thank you:
