Tsx problem

Unread postby Haystack » Sun Jan 01, 2012 7:06 pm

When ever I run RW3 with tsx enabled, it shows up with four little screens. When I turn it off it is normal. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Fearbefore
I think that this may be an interaction between nvidia inspector and TS 2012/TSX.
If you go into nvidia inspector choose railworksproc2.exe and select the nvidia default settings you will get a single screen back again. I'm still looking for a way to use the best nvidia inspector setting (SGSS/FXAA) and TS2012/TSX but haven't found it yet.
There has to be a compatibility code/address that flags TS2012 so that you use the nvidia inspector settings?
If you are not using nvidia inspector then please disregard this post

Make sure all your Nvidia graphics settings are at default. Now, on the RW launch screen, before you "Start" the sim, make sure in the settings tab you have 1to1, not multi monitor. Once in the game, go to settings again and make sure 1to1 is set again. I know, it's strange, but the two different settings don't always coincide. Just make sure they all match.

Have you both verified the game files? Right click on TS2012 in your Steam Library list, choose Properties> Local Files tab> Verify. Then next time you launch the game, go to the Tools and Docs tab and clear the blueprint cache. You have to do that step before you click on Start or it will be greyed out.

Just tried that. Said 3 files couldn't be verified.

Any files not verified are always reaquired by Steam.

FB
You may need to verify the cache more than once until it comes back with a message saying that all the files have been verified. It took me 3 verifications recently to get all the "corrupt' files reacquired.

To anyone esle out there using nVidia Inspector I can confirm (on my rig) that even with the latest version of NVI (1.5.5.8) if you use any Sparse Grid Supersampling or other exotic SS effects this may result in TS2012 (in TX mode and with any Anti-aliasing setting) being displayed as 4 'quarter size' screens.

I kept doing it until it said all files so that should be good now. Also I have no SS effect programs.
