RW Horns Sound Pack by Ian (eyein12) Allen.
RW_Horns.zip - 24.1 MB
Hello,
These are a few horns I created for the use in Railworks. There are various horns that can be used on most modern diesel engines.
the K5LA's, K3LA, S3K, S3L's are best suited for GE locos(CSX,BNSF,NS etc...)
the iMRL_p5 works beautifully with the ICE/DME sd40s. the other p5s can also be placed on gp38s and sd40s of all liveries.
there is a familiar M5 included. the RS-5T_CSXT can be placed on just about all the older diesels and sounds just fine.

installation instructions
1. unpack the horns using railworks frontend.
2. you will need to manually alias each sound to whatever loco you wanted it on.
3. simply find the locomotive you want
if you are using RW_tools do this:
--I chose to open an sd40== file--open railworks file--- locate ---C:\Program Files\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40-2\BNSF\Engine\sd40_2_bnsf.bin
use the search and replace function to find this:"Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40\Cab\Class SD40 Horn Sound.xml" in the document
replace this section with Audio\RailVehicles\horns\xxxx\Horn.xml where xxxx is the horn forlder name of your choice
scroll up a little in the same region swap the provider and product out and substitute with eyein12 and soo-line as your provider and product respectively.
Click save railworks file and youre done!
you can manually do the same as above by finding the same file in the same location and opening the .bin file with serz and then editing the .xml file that was created by serz using notepad following the same directions as above and save your file.

you can edit any engine located in similar directories of other providers folders.
these sounds were created for using as freeware only. you may not redistribute for sale.
some of the sounds are clean and crisp and some have blotches in them use at your own risk. the bells are missing but i can simply put one in if ican find one. PLeae edit and fix if you are good with sounds I enclosed the source file with everything needed for easy use!
thanks,
ian
