Deutsche Bahnhof have been asked by National Express and East Coast Rail to supply an ICE3 Train for testing on the Newcastle to York section of the East Coast Mainline prior to purchase. You as senior test driver will assess this train for suitability over this route. It is hoped that this new train will cut the travel time from Newcastle to York to just 40 minutes and by over an hour over the whole East Coast Route.
You will start the speed trials and special permission has been granted to open the throttle where the speed limits are set at 125 mph. You must evaluate the train and find the safest maximum speed for these sections of the route. There are known issues with sudden coach tilt and derailment when speeds exceed 200 mph.
For this scenario you will need the Newcastle to York Modern route for Railworks, (payware)
the 390 S9BL from Steam DLC (payware)
The ICE3 train from railsim de (donation)
