This model is a Massillon Steel repaint of the Dogmouse Alco S2 switcher.
This model is a Massillon Steel repaint of the Dogmouse Alco S2 switcher. I repainted it for switching operations on Rich Garber’s excellent Ohio Steel route. It represents the first batch of diesels Massillon Steel purchased in 1949. As the 1000 HP S2’s arrived, the remaining 0-8-0 and 0-6-0 steam switchers were retired. The switching crews immediately fell in love with these units and they gave many years of faithful service.
To operate this model, you must install the Alco S2 model found on the Railworks America website (http://www.railworksamerica.com/ ). It’s a great model that you will really enjoy.
Unzip and install using the included RW_AssetSetup.exe installer. In the scenario editor it is listed as: Alco S2 MASS.
I hope you enjoy the repaint. Many thanks to Dogmouse for an exceptional model and a great repainters kit.
