Looks like they just took off the beacon and used the BN model *!rolleyes!*

GREAT re paint by the way !!*ok*!! !!*ok*!!

Not quite Mike, there are a lot different variations of the BNSF GP38-2's, I only agree with your statement for the window wipers, and the paint on the step

Not to start a argument since I'm just a lovable little fuzz ball, but if you thumb thru the twenty some pages of BNSF GP38-2s you can find one of almost anything in paints and configuration. I found one near identical to the one RSC did, not perfect but close. I'm sure everyone knows I'm not much of a rivet counter but I do have some eye for detail. It's just that as you become older you understand that hardly anything is perfect and moreover darn little is worth getting your undies in a bunch about it.

WRONG. Not a true GP38-2 from EMD. This is a rebuild of a GP40, notice the HUGE space between the radiator fans.

If you wanna do it right, look at this site here: http://www.trainpix.com/BNSF/EMDORIG/GP38-2/INDEX.HTM
While it may not have all of the newbies. It's actually correct in which locomotives are ACTUALLY GP38-2s.

These: http://www.trainpix.com/BNSF/EMDRBLD/GP38-2/INDEX.HTM
are all rebuilds.

Here's a non-rebuild (ex TPW/ATSF) with Nose lights and H3 paint.

And here's that H3 ex-BN exx-SLSF GP38-2 with nose lights and H3. The only thing wrong with the RSC model is the fact its missing the AC and the liberated exhaust (4 stacks).

Exactly my point! Most are in H1, but there are the few in H3 and quite a few more in BN paint still. Plus all of those variations of details. Most have nose mounted lights now. Even BNSF 2086 has them.

Aside from it being in H3, yeah. Change the black to green and get rid of the Swoosh logo, you got yourself 89% of the GP38-2 roster.

They didn't even match the SD unit!!! no yellow ditchlights and no yellow stripe! Maybe if they'd listen to us for once, they wouldn't get it wrong so many times!
