Same old rolling stock (Marias Pass)?

Thanks to a tip on the RS Facebook pages, I've been looking at the users' manual for the new Marias Pass route, which I have not as yet purchased. Included are eight pages depicting rolling stock supplied with the route, but I see little or nothing that has not been available as standard stock for years. Does this mean that none of these freight cars will be "legacy" or "standard" stock anymore, that new purchasers of RS must acquire them by purchasing either Marias Pass or the US Community Asset Pack?

Older versions of RW/RS/TS used to include a users' manual that clearly identified all of the rolling stock supplied with the basic simulator, but I don't think that manual has been revised to reflect the content of any of the various versions now available. I care about this as a scenario writer, since I prefer to make my scenarios more user-friendly by using only rolling stock readily available as standard or included with the particular route on which the scenario takes place. This has become even more important to me since I now tend to publish my scenarios through Steam Workshop.

Is there a website or manual that lists rolling stock available with various TS2013 versions and with specific DLC? If not, perhaps I'll try to start assembling such a list.

The big thing you will notice right away is that both Sherman Hill and Marias Pass have the EOTD device. I have been meaning to look into how they do this. Maybe your question will spur me to look at that. Just a quick look at the bin files the wagons look the same as the Kuju cars.

That should be easy to use on other rolling stock but the question is, is it hooked up onto a car? or is it separated which you can add the eot on the rear of the train?

It's a separate item in the wagons folder. I am going to mess with it in a bit.

Nope,there's no list and not likely to be one I'd guess unless you do one for yourself.Nor is there much "new" rolling stock **

**though a pic I've seen suggests some articulated well cars on the horizon - for those that have not got said well cars.

I'm confused but on the RSC page for MP it says :
"New 50ft box car and lumbar car in BNSF livery (these LUMBAR wagons would be backbreakers)
Several reworked freight cars in BNSF and BN liveries"
So are these just for MP or for all routes that use them?
Are there still more wagons/freight cars that have not been re-worked or are not new?

Perhaps we need to clarify what we are talking about. I don't consider a re-paint a "new car". Maybe I should. The cars run just fine on other routes.

Not sure I quite get the question

The re-paints are not available for those who don't purchase MP.The route is self contained - assets and rolling stock have differing folder structures.Self contained routes i.e. DEM and scenery assets are a good idea .. adding rolling stock is a bad (polite description) idea.

I was confused and succeeded in confusing everyone - apologies to all
I was referring Prof's original statement:

when on the RSC web page they were talking about 1 new freight wagon and several "modified" ones I was non-plussed that these statements could have been made by RSC if it was the same old rolling stock! If you see what I mean??

in that if these "modified" wagons were the same standard stock as we had used for years would they also be used in those routes that had been using them for all of those years or had they indeed been "modified" in some way and were in addition to the old standard stock? But thanks to the post above I see these are exclusive to MP and could not have been used in other routes.
I don't know if I have made this clearer or dug myself in a little deeper!
But - I look forward to the list!

Other than the lumber and one new boxcar, the modifications include things like much better looking trucks.
If you look closely at the trucks on the Marias Pass stock, you will notice much more realistic axle caps and springs. The axle caps rotate, as well as being much more three dimensional.
