The window is actually how it was before.

I'll try to see if I can figure out a way to make it look even smoother.

A little more progress in the cab, started work on the brake stand.

And here's what the cab will look like when it's finished.
EMD E1 cab 1.jpg

Does anyone have any pictures of how the piping inside a F-Unit diesel locomotive cab looked. The F-Units and the E-Units were very similar in design in the cab and the next thing I want to do is do some of the piping for the brakes.

Maybe, also if someone could find a good enough picture as well where one can rip the gauge textures out of that would also help a lot. Since I can't find a single good enough image to use to make the gauges.

Some more progress on the engine.

Started on the seats.

Still have some more work to do on the vents, but they will be able to open and close in the sim.

Got me some sounds.

I'll be using the engine sounds from this video on the E1.

Some more progress inside the 3D cab interior.

Got the seats finished, corrected the vents and started on what will be the dashboard for the gauges.

And the view from the engineer's seat, very soon I expect to be able to get your new office into the sim, like how it would have been in 1937.

And the view from the brakeman's seat.

Can't wait to get my new product out to the community.

More progress to come very soon.

Now if only I knew how to paint the outside to be Santa Fe Warbonnet like it's going to have to be.

Interesting though but today one might see 85 miles per hour in a train as slow because of some of the foreign high speed trains. But in 37 85 to 90 miles per hour was quite fast for an express engine. These EMC E1's were known to have decent speed, but they were bad at stopping, that is they didn't have very good breaks. Not like trains of today that have better made breaks and more advanced breaks.

I hope to get this model as realistic in physics when I finish it so that it will act like the real EMC E1 did back in 1937.

By the way, tomorrow will get more work done on the cab, will get the first brake and brake pump done and then might start on the handles if I have time. And then even extra, the nuts and bolts.

Awesome work JP. !!*ok*!!
