Unread postby Andimax » Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:45 am

Hi everyone,

we are proud to present our first small route for TS 2013: Green Falls.

A small industrial shunting yard for switching fans, coming with 8 scenarios, custom built assets and a lot of railroad feeling. If you like to shunt cars all over the place, if you like to use your head while doing shunting puzzles, well, you´ve come to the right place! !!howdy!!

Here are some impressions of the route: (Release date is: April 24th 2013)

The scenarios:

1. Alco RS11LV + LV Pack - Flour deliveries
The Flour Mill needs new supplies. It´s your job to swap teh empty and full cars in the yard and to deliver all cars to the correct sidings.

2. Alco RS11 LV + LV Pack: Early Morning Switching
It's Monday Morning and many industries in Green Falls have requested the railroad's services. This is a challenging freestyle switching scenario, in which you'll be given your work order at the beginning -- how and in what order you complete it is up to you!

3. Alco RS11 LV + PRR Pack - Boxcars Out!
In this easy scenario, you will collect several boxcars and assemble them at the Switching Yard.

4. GP9 + US Assets - Evening switcher / 4a. SW 1500 + US Assets - Evening switcher
New deliveries have arrived! Break down the consist on Interchange Yard 1 and deliver the cars to the correct sidings.

5. GP9 + US Assets: Sorting things out / 5a. SW 1500 + US Assets: Sorting things out
You will swap cars bewtween the Interchange and the Switching yard.

6. GP9 + US Assets - Easy job / 6a. SW 1500 + US Assets - Easy job
Some of the local industries have demanded transports for tomorrow. You will collect the cars from the industrial sidings before placing them all on Switching Yard 1.

+ extra scenarios for the GE 44 Tonner UP with US Assets. :D

The route will be available only at Trains and Drivers for the special price of 8,99 Euro incl VAT, thats less than 10USD.

Those tracks I must have them.

Let's do the math: $11.70 for the route + $16.87 for the Alco engine used in 3 of the 8 scenarios = $28.57. This might go on my wish list if I knew more about the route (perhaps by being able to preview the users' manual), but I'll not buy it now.

I just picked up the TandD Green Falls switching route. Now I have a place to run my TandD LV RS11 and the TandD LV Freight Cars pack.

Alrighty then, I ran the first Green Falls scenario and I immediately discovered no freight cars sounds to speak off. How to I get Krellnut's marvelous car sounds into the TandD Freight Cars?

Buzz

I can send you a "pirate" copy...Oops, we are not supposed to do that! !!**sorry**!! The \assets\trainsanddrivers\GA_LV-Freight\audio\Freight\ folder has some goofy names for the sounds files that I cannot convert or alias.

I do have 'Wagon Sound BP.bin', 'Wagon Sound.proxybin', and 'Wagon Sound.proxyxml' files in the folder.
Audio Sound.jpg
Maybe that is all I need to copy these over from Krellnut's set?

I would just stick them in there and see what happens after renaming the existing files to something so they are backed up.

I found it to be ok for the money. It's a very small, but well done route. I also owned the Lehigh Valley RS11 and LV pack. so I didn't need to buy anything beyond the route.

I think it would have been nice to perhaps have a couple other industries that were separated from the rest by a few miles and allowed for a short run on the main.

All in all - for $10 - I am happy with it.

Hi everyone,

we are currently working on an update for the route: We will add some extra scenarios for the "default" US community asset pack engines and cars, so that you definetely will be able to play around 8 scenarios without owning any of the additional rollingstock.

I think it would have been nice to perhaps have a couple other industries that were separated from the rest by a few miles and allowed for a short run on the main.

If you take a look behind the "Flour Mill Loading bay", you will see some rests of former tracks and bridges, so it might be just coincidence, but maybe the route will be extended *!!wink!!* .
