Chicago, IL-Grand Rapids, MI The Pere Marquette sometimes, they take one loco and run it back and forth for a week or two then switch it out, and in our case, This last month, that engine was the Phase I Heritage Unit and a Phase III dirty cabbage!!!!! Or there is sometimes a F40PH trailing, used to be 3 horizon coaches and a P42. I think the first train I ever saw was that Amtrak Service, when it was in its early years, Phase III F40PH with 3 Phase III Amfleets. !!jabber!! (if you look CLOSELY in the 2nd picture with the sign you can see the Phase V Cabbage) *!!wink!!*

Been a little while since I last dumped photographs here. Have had an interesting month or so.....

Big Indy MACs head up an autorack train out of Milwaukee.
Image

Green Weenie 4013 leads Wisconsin & Southern's Train #4 off the CN and onto home rails, passing the old heavyweight set that serves as a section of the "La Estacion" Mexican restaurant.
Image

Looking ratty and worn out, a CP 40 and a "Blue and Yellow" lead the daily international stack/racker south of Milwaukee.
Image

Grain Loading and WSOR action at Wern Farms.
Image

5 burners (including a MP15) race along the CN en route to WSOR home rails in Waukesha.
Image

INRD Big MACs leave Milwaukee in the distance with a CP freight.
Image

Another encounter of the Green Weenie kind! Train Number 4 stumbles over the Fox River in Waukesha.
Image

A former Chicago & Northwestern SD40-2 heads up the daily westbound autorack train in the city of Wauwatosa.
Image

INeRDs at speed!
Image

Wisconsin & Southern's Train #3 waits at Duplainville for a CN southbound.
Image

Fresh 60 goodness departs Milwaukee with the daily westbound auto train.
Image

A very rare SD60F pauses after making a set out at Duplainville before resuming it's charge north.
Image

Rumor has it, this is the last Candy Apple geep left as more and more are repainted or replaced.
Image

A CP coal train has reached it's terminus at the Columbia Generating Plant and is about to disconnect from it's coal loads and take the short trip up to Portage Yard.
Image

An all "Dark Future" consist slams east at Wyocena, Wisconsin with a CP freight.
Image

With snow sticking to everything and a small sucker hole of late afternoon light, CN A446 rumbles through backyards in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Image

A nice pair of EMDs bring CN's L592 onto the international line at Junction City, Wisconsin.
Image

Another night, another meet at Duplainville.
Image

A pair of fresh SD60s lead the daily international stacker-racker through the tight curves as they climb out of Milwaukee against various shades of Cream City brick.
Image

An SD50, GE, and Geep grind up the grade out of Milwaukee in the City of Wauwatosa with a CP freight.
Image

A DME 40 and CP 60 handle empty whiskey under the Union Pacific Milwaukee Sub in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Image

Greenie Weenie Time again! Train Number 4 eases into Palmyra, Wisconsin on a pleasant winter afternoon.
Image

Diaries of a sucker hole! Another patch of blue sky and sun line up on an otherwise cloudy day to shed some light on a big lash as it hauls the daily westbound rack train out of Milwaukee.
Image

A pair of fresh looking Geeps ease into the Port of Milwaukee with CP's GM42.
Image

The 1000' Self Unloading Bulk Carrier "American Integrity" is in winter layup at the Port of Milwaukee as the salt rush grinds on below. GM42 is shuffles salt cars as the county endures weekly storms.
Image

Never thought I'd ever see another SD60F again, much less two in one month! A 60F and CSXT C40-8 make for an odd couple as they ease to a stop at south Duplainville.
Image

A "Blue Turd" leads a southbound CN train as it glides downhill at Rugby Junction, Wisconsin.
Image

Another view of the "Blue Turd" as it disturbs Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Image

A pretty pair of SD60s haul stacks and racks east into Milwaukee. Note my stuck truck on the left! A close call to say the least!
Image

Fish Fry Boys and Girls! Train Number 4 rolls through North Prairie, Wisconsin and it's old depot, which is now an Italian Restaurant.
Image

Wisconsin and Southern's 30th anniversary unit heads up another Train Number 4 as it flies down the CN in Colgate, Wisconsin.
Image

Amtrak's heritage unit #184 brings the eastbound Empire Builder into Milwaukee past Miller Brewing.
Image

A BC Rail Barn heads up a northbound UP train as it swings west in West Allis.

While not a train, this sight on the highway is worthy of a CSX commercial:

Look what wandered into Wisconsin! This sure was a sight to see, and albeit that I don't shoot trains on cloudy days, I couldn't resist this one!

CP 284 looks nothing but fast as it races along the frozen shores of Pewaukee Lake.
Image

Now, having arrived and begun work in Milwaukee, 284 pulls ahead to make a cut and will soon shove back in to Muskego Yard.

Some shots from around Woodstock, ON, Canada on Sunday April 7, 2013. It was busy with trains spotters. All shots on the CPR tracks (as we also have CN in town). The IC&E is owned by CPR.
Photos taken with a Nikon D7100 and Tamron 18-270 lens.
