It will be interesting to see what you guys think of the Marias Pass locos and any other stock that may or may not be included.

Please could you make sure that you link all the Facebook pictures here when they come rolling in? I won't see them otherwise. *!sad!*

With a pair of travelers at each windowpane.
I may sit beside you all the journey through,
Or I may sit elsewhere, never knowing you.
But if fate should mark me to sit by your side,
Let's be pleasant travellers; it's so short a ride."

Look on the forums. They're usually the ones taken. I just posted one in the WIP thread not too long ago.

I also heard that the AutoFireman, as he exists now, is lazy. Could we enlist those folks to tweak the loco physics for the Donner Pass Locos?

BTW, I heard a rumor that the diesel dynamic brakes could be tweaked to work correctly - with the proper knowledge applied.

The physics of the original ones were upgraded by XDriver before the version two came out so that it was just as good as the version two when it was introduced. There have been several conversations about the dynamic brakes off and on here, many of us think they work just fine at least on some locos while some complain about them not working properly. My advice is that they need to be put on slowly and there is a lot of lag before they start to take effect. Somewhere on the order of 15-20% usually will maintain a constant speed depending on the size of the train and number of power units and of course the grade. **!!2cents!!**

You know if you guy's think about it. This will be the first route with two different eviorments in it. If you start in Shelby its all flat farm lands like SH. Then you run into the moutain's and its all up hill with curves and grades. We have not really seen this yet. If you look at CP its all desert. You start in the desert, finish in the desert. HSC. Starts in hill's with trees and ends with hill's with tree's. SH. start's with rock's and rolling hill's, end's with rolling hill's. NEC. Starts in city, end's in city. DP. start's and end's in moutains with hill's and grades near by.
Not to mention this will be one of the best looking and accurate version's of this route in any train-sim !!*ok*!!

Looking forward to buy Maria Pass. I use to be a hiker walking in the mountains. I love it. Desert? To dry to flat.

That's a good point above. It was always so interesting to go from the Farm lands at one end and to climb through the mountains. Not to mention, I loved the route to Kallispell to pick up lumber products! This route is one US route that will be very interesting to play. I keep saying it, but I seriously cannot do without Amtrak on this one. It will be the first western road that we can actually use modern Amtrak equipment on. Sh, Amtrak doesn't use. DP, has to be 90s stuff. CP, yes, but its a boring route with no intermittent stations.

This route has enough Amtrak stations. I don't see how RSC can refuse to make Amtrak a part of this route. They'd miss out on a lot by not putting the potential passenger runs into the route. MSTS certainly did.

Which AMTRAK stuff would be running on the Marias Pass? F40 or Genesis? Superliners?
