I won't hand you the fish, but I will hand you a fishing pole.

The file library doesn't have the greatest of search engines, but it does work. If you search for 'simer4' in the TS2012 area you will find his SD40 sounds modification.

I'm planning to buy NEC this year because I like Passengers than freight.

Will you do the horn replacement on AEM-7 and Acela for the NEC?

I was asking B7 if he was going to do more horns for the NEC trains like AEM-7 and Acela. I saw what he posted on the first one but still not sure if he's making one. Otherwise I may have to do it manually *!rolleyes!*

He decided run8 was better and probably is not going to do anything else, so you would be better learning it yourself and maybe make some new ones eh? I never dabbled into the sounds yet and hope for you guys to do some more.

Yea I have Run 8 as well, but hardly run it because the controls doesn't work with my joysticks I have. Works with Railworks so I decided to lay off from Run 8 for a while b/c they only have 1 route in the desert and don't like it that much. I had experience with the bigboy whistle once. I may give it try with the mega horn to work with AEM and Acela myself when I buy it.

I downloaded the Horn Pack last month and a couple of days ago I decided to try it out. I used the SD40-2 as a trial. I followed the instructions placing the files into the appropiate folders in the TS2013 Railworks folders. Started TS2013 but I am hearing the default horn sounds, not the new ones. I may be wrong but I don't think the Mega Horn Pack works with TS2013. Just curious if anyone running TS2013 have been able to use the Horn Pack without any problems?

Yes it works. I just put it in Saturday. Make sure that you are putting it into the Audio SD40 not the engine itself. If you don't know what I am talking about I can give you the complete path tonight when I am at home.

buzz456, Thanks for replying. Correction, I used the ES44AC, not the SD40. This is the file path I used for the ES44:
steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\Railvehicles\Diesel\ES44\Cab

I copied and pasted all of the .wav files and the appropiate PROXYXML file to the above location. I did not do anything to the default Horn.dav files. I listed to each .wav file to compare them to the default horn sound. When I started TS2013 and loaded the ES44 it sure sounded like I was still getting the default horn sounds. I appreciate your assistance.

Hmm. I just looked and you did it just the way you should, and no you don't have to take the stock one out. You can test this by blowing the horn in game and have the folder open and double click on the horn loop and see if they sound the same. Which horn did you use by the way? I just changed mine and it is definitely working.

I used the K5LA (CSX) wav files. Not sure on how to display the CAB folder while running TS2013.
