CSX horn collection.

Unread postby 5292nate » Sun Feb 10, 2013 12:59 pm

Hi guys! I want to make a big horn pack, for the CSX locomotive fleet. I have 1 horn made so far. This is where I need your help. Tell me what CSX horns we need, and please provide me with some good quality samples. I already know, that we need several variations of the Nathan K5LA. I have got a really nice K5LA, already underway! Video coming soon! So, if you will, let's make this a fun group project! !!*ok*!! Let's get some great audio samples!!

Almost all of CSX's horns are K5LAs now. K5LA's tend to bore me, but good luck!

I'll see what I have and what I can get. Grand elk uses some nice K5LAs and have very friendly employees.

I can do this one for the Dash 8, but there are many different CSX C40-8 K5LA variants. I would like more videos if anyone can find them! I won't be able to release the pack for a while. I would like it to be a CSX horn mega-pack! So far, I only have 3. On another note, does anyone know how to make the horns louder than the loco engine? Any horn I use, (regardless of whether I made it or not) is drowned out by the desil sounds.

UPDATE: Got another good one. Can be used on the C40-8W, or the AC44CW. (if we ever get one)

Sounds good! Is there any way to turn off the looping radio in the cab? I'm gonna use radionet from now on. This looping they made is driving me nuts.

Would you just have a channel playing in the backround while you're running RW?
