Publishing A Scenario On Steam

Unread postby hawkeye53 » Sat Feb 16, 2013 4:23 pm

Thanks to everyone's help on this forum I've finally completed my first scenario. However, I'm having trouble getting it published on Steam. I keep getting the message when trying to publish it that I have third party content in my scenario that was not downloaded from Steam. This is not true. All assets I use in the scenario were purchased from Steam. My scenario was made using the Cajon Pass route and also included some SD75's I purchased from Steam. I even tried creating a brief scenario using all default assets and got the same message when trying to publish the scenario. Would anyone here by chance know what is going on with this? Thanks!

Just a suggestion, upload it here and one of us will see if we can figure out what sort of evil asset you might have lurking in there.

I may try that on steam. If that fails then I'll do it on my site and here.

now to add to this weird thing I got a scenario off of steam and I cant play it, its one of the newer SD45 scenarios but it apparently requires "SD40T-2 ND" aka ND as no driver....as I recall this isn't default and was part of a repaint mod that's available here at RWA am I correct?

I just wonder if after a Steam update something went wacky there.

Well here's something interesting. I tried again to upload a short scenario to Steam using just default rolling stock. But before I created the scenario I removed a freeware SD40 I had downloaded which showed up in my list of locomotives in the scenario editor. I did not even use this loco in either scenario though. Anyway, there was no problem when I got to the upload screen. I could have uploaded the short scenario with no problem. Guess I'll start from scratch with my original scenario (which shouldn't take a lot of time to rebuild), and test the upload procedure at different stages.
