Wait RSC sets the prices? I thought the developers had a input on the price range. BNSFdude, I can sure wait for another month(unless something goes wrong in 2 days *!rolleyes!* )

I have never seen a locomotive so detailed in a long time.

It's in the contract: "“Recommended Retail Price” will be set by Publisher in line with similar products.".

The rwp is around 70MB, a bit too big for an email. I suppose there must be some other reason why they use Steam rather than just sending everyone a login to their ftp site. I'd better follow their rules, don't want to put my foot in it.

Well, this sure sounds like it will be the most detailed loco yet for TS. I'm sure looking forward to it whenever it gets released and whatever its price.

Freight, definitely. They're going to be on the HSC, but she'll still be in AT&N livery, so these will be "what if" scenarios. Something like, "what if the PRR had a shortage of motive power and bought some refurbished locos from the AT&N". Any excuse to run them on that route will do. I could even do scenarios for other, modern era routes and call them railfanning tours (what we Brits call enthusiasts excursions).

Not that I'm not going to buy it, but I hope that this loco isn't charged $50 for... (not that you don't deserve it)

I'm just speaking from a standpoint after seeing the Centipede... (marvelous addon, and it was charged 37 or something like that...)

I look forward to it's release !!*ok*!!

I'd be amazed if they charged as much as that! I'd be happy with considerably less, but we'll have to wait and see what RSC decide.

I hope Matt remembers to get the most recent one I uploaded to the ftp. It's got improved cab interior textures (more manual shadow bake) and it has the much improved whistle chimes, that can be quilled by pulling on the cord.

I still want to try to make the chuffing sounds even better, especially the transition from oneshot sounds to the continuous looping sound at higher speed.

*!lol!*

Working on the engine is a holiday for me. I wish I could quit my day job and do this instead. Lucky fellows at RSC.

Happy Hogmanay!

Mike

P.S. I'm going to experiment with exchanging the interior cab's compressed textures with uncompressed ones. I'm also going to try making a steam-driven oil lubricator with working sight gauges.

Will be ready to give this a run down the NYC Division 1935.

Haven't did much on my route lately, but very soon I'll be building some classic city houses and then going to start working backwards some and start on the slums.
