sorry i flew off the handle about that earlier, i was having a bad day due to other issues and kinda vented it towards you. and about that quote of what i said about donner pas in may, well that was with the old donner this refered to and yesterday i was refering to the updated version that we all have to agree looks fantastic. either way i am sorry for over reacting.

Bob, I'm so glad to hear that you are working on this one! A Marias pass at the level of detail and loving attention that we got in Woodhead and the others you and Derek have worked on will be a delight! And to have the chance to revisit my beloved route from MSTS is wonderful.

I hope this isn't a bad place to ask this, but here goes. I've been looking around youtube for a few months now and have seen very little modern power on Marias Pass. It seems they have all the Dash-9's locked into this region and that they don't leave. Is there any particular reason for this, or is it just a coincidence? I would think they would want to use AC traction on a mountain pass, but I guess that's not the case here. Also, unrelated to this route, but do any of you know why UP seems to only use the C44ACCTE (AC44) on their coal trains? I've seen very little of them with C45's (ES44s). My best assumption is the drivers prefer the desktop control modes over the traditional ones.

I was lucky enough to go to Kalispell, MT to pick up a load of crushed cans to take to Alabama, so snapped a few shots but was driving and couldn't find a good place to stop
while i went to Edmonton and Calgary my wife stayed in Shelby across the street from the yard :)

I hope the AI is being improved to be more dynamic to work with single track. That could open up a lot of new single track routes that aren't really possible with the current AI.
