they never said multiplayer "online", but "relay" instead...
And also Formula-T mode, caugh errrr sorry... Career System mode online, but not multiplayer... hummmm...
there is clue somewhere...
sounding essential data's exchange (relay) at certain moments, like meetings? or at a saved point? nah let it be... it's coming soon... robbit wrote:What I think it means is 1 person starts the scenario then saves it and sends this save file to the next person to continue it. It would be as easy as saving the scenario and then going in to the scenario folder and sending someone with the same scenario installed and when they load the game they just hit continue and there you go a relay.
Maybe someone could test this theory.
If two (or more) are playing is multiplayer, or not? Well, at least now will be easier and fast through a modern GUI, eh?

BNSFdude wrote:I'll explain it. It's been explained already pretty well but here: Relay play is like a passable save game. Say I am assigned to switch out a train in a yard for a incoming crew, i do it, friend connects after im done, does his mainline run after hooking his power to the train I just built or what ever. Pretty much like that. The reason we don't have real time multiplayer yet is unknown to me so far. I'd love to see it though. :( Perhaps now with Steam Workshop, it'll be easier to do a live multiplayer having steam download all (free) trains in the session to your PC automatically.
