Thank you everyone for your compliments. As for the measurements, I just used 1:36 scale drawings from Trainiax.net over a 2D face that is roughly the same size of the prototype, and draw out from there. I also used data from thedieselshop.com for other measurements such as total width, length, height and wheel size. It was wheel size that gives me other data about the trucks, just from looking at photos and judging scale. I also am being a major rivet counter, and putting in as many details as technologically possible. I will be going through a poly reduction phase within the next few weeks, and exporting in a method that makes sure no parts are touching that would cause face division. This way the model will have as little polygons as possible. I also have many great cab photos from the prototypes and will be integrating many of the systems. I will be learning LUA, just so I can use advanced scripting. The model will be free of course, as I believe that the current mentality of relying on things having to be payware. I plan on also having multiple detail versions for people with slower computers, so everyone can easily drive it. I hope to have this thing done in the near future. Thank you everyone once again.
