Good Morning:

Did someone say new switch stands, I installed the update but it looks like the same switch stands. Could someone post a screen of the new ones.

Thanks

Chandler

You need to have ScaleRail installed (free or payware version). Pic of the switch stand in first post of this thread.

I tried to apply the Cajon Scalerail update to the latest B-SB and it failed. Missing track, consist errors, etc. Worked fine under RW2.

Someone else mentioned an issue with the install post-rw-update. I'll have to figure out what changed.

After working my way through this spool of a thread, I'm still confused about what "ScaleRail for Cajon Pass" does. That is, does it just change the tracks, switchstands, etc. in the standard version of the BtoSB route or does it install its own version of the route?

Please clarify,

The installer makes a copy of the original SB route, and then applies the needed changes for ScaleRail and the new switch stands to show up. A few other minor tweaks in making some objects "stick" to the ground (SB to Oro Grande only), but there are no alterations to the original track database (other than links to ScaleRail) so that the copied scenarios will work. I haven't tested it in RW3 since the big update last February or the one a week ago.

Griphos wrote:Well, I wanted to get in on the fun, so downloaded and installed the Cajon Pass update with scalerail. Hopped into Jonathan's first scenario with the SD70Ace and as I was leaving Barstow, the engine seemed to fall through the tracks as if falling off a bridge, and consist tilt error ended the scenario. Anyone else have this problem? It seems that the changed track on the newly updated SB-B may not work correctly.

I tried cajon scalerail last night and have the same issue. For me it is on the eastern side of the bridge over the yard at the west end of barstow.

It seems to only be the northern main line, the southern main line is fine.

I don't recall anymore cuz were fast tests (as I reported in this same thread before), but I had problem only with some DLC engines. Default scenarios/engines I tried were running fine, may be just coincidence. !*don-know!*

I noticed also that the new lighting features (lights on roads, streets and bridges etc.) are not present in the ScaleRail version, even installing it after SP-1.
