Is the recording from a new cast or an old cast?

It was recorded from a Norfolk Southern SD40-2, I can't tell the difference between an Old or New cast **!!bang!!**



Old cast is sand blasted I believe, and the NS P5 is way, way different than the IC P5.

Do you do whistles? If you do, a new one for the Challenger would be cool because it really annoys me that the whistle stays on for several seconds after the key has been let off.
