Thanks for the info Hawk. I did know that, but when I enter the correct billing adres Steam does not accept it. Seems you have to make a purchase from your home country and can not buy anything when abroad.

Also tried using paypal, no go either.

Guess only couch potatoes are welkom to give money to Steam

IP has to match the billing country for your credit card*. If you travel a lot, submit a ticket to Steam Support, they can remove the "lock" on your account and allow you to buy in any country.


* they see your account being used hundreds or thousands miles away from home. Assume it's hacked. Stupid security features...

That's right, I forgot about Steam Guard. I think you can shut it off, not sure how tho.
