I have a question, what software does the NS Train Simulator uses? It was in the NS Exhibition car and it looked like Trainz, does anyone know?

I finally got there to day. Long hour dive all the way from Greensboro to Spencer. But it was worth it.

It was so hot, I actually saw some old man pass out from the heat. They had to take him somewhere though.
I also bought two t-shirts. I have a N&W and a Wabash. Sweet.
I enjoyed it to day. Really good display. Could have been better if it was about 60 degrees or something. But still sweet.

Yea, when I went there, they had two paramedic teams on standby. I guess they were keeping an eye out for heat exhaustion.

I might have. I wouldn't really know because I was paying too much attention to the engines as well.
Those engines were really beautiful though. Prettier thank anything I saw.

Nice shots! Went on July 4th. Place was empty (compared to July 3rd). NS roped off the turntable out to about 35-40 feet, since I heard on the 3rd everyone just crammed into the pit. With the boundary pushed back anyone on the platform got clear shots with no people in it. I stopped counting the temp at 103F (39.4C). Without the heat index...

I also stopped in Selma, NC. Roanoke, VA, and Staunton, VA. But those photos / videos are for another thread. Back home after 68 hrs and about 1,500 miles traveled. Now to apply Aloe to my burnt face and neck...

Hats off to the people @ Norfolk Southern for bringing us these beautiful Heritage Units . I hope that other railroad companies will take a look at what NS has done and will produce Heritage Units from their companys history as well.

Would love to see CSX do some Heritage Units (L&N, Chessie, Seaboard, N.C. & Stl, etc...)

For what it's worth. Anybody from Galesburg, IL to Lincoln, NE the Reading and Lehigh Valley units are heading that way on a empty BNSF coal train bound for the Powder River Basin. All ready passed through Galesburg. Just a matter of time before they escaped NS rails!

I remember someone recreating this scene in our sim, with still a few gaps in the Railworks line up.

I haven't counted the download library, but are all ES44 and SD70 of the Heritage Fleet now complete in Railworks?

I still own Trainz 2012 and went over to JointedRail.com today to find that there a 20 unit package available for a price.
Glad we got ours for free, thanks to our wonderful community and the generous repainters.
