No, TS2012 does need SP1. I can't really quantify it, but Barstow/ San Bernadino does look and run a lot better. I haven't tried Ox/ Pad yet but they say the improvement there is also nice.

When freshly installing TS2012, there is no upgrade downloaded. I assume the newest code for TS2012 has been updated to include the tweaks needed for SP1.

Yep again... if you (say) delete or rename \railworks folder and start a verify of game cache, you'll get a SP1 installation, with same version number though. The only way to be sure is going to BSB and visually check...

I am lost, why would I rename the railworks folder ?

I did not delete the railworks folder, I uninstalled all things TS2012 / Steam related

I have no idea what the route you mentioned looked before, so it is not a sure method for me at all.

I just hope people to do a good job so when there is no download aft er a fresh install from steam I assume the SP1 is included in the newest TS2012 code. Think that would make the mist sense as well.

Ah, ok, thanks, that is not how I did a clean install though.

When I did a clean install I:
Unintalled Steam, uninstalled TS2012, checked for left behind directories (none), ran a system cleaner, rebooted, ran system cleaner, installed Steam, installed TS2012.

Maybe one day, when I will start modding like you do, I will use your way to create multiple fresh installs. Very handy and smart way of doing it. !!*ok*!!

SP-1 didn't change the version number, is still the same since couple months ago:
v11.7.b

That's the annoying part of update... To know if it is updated, only playing one scenario (for example on BSB - Cajon route) and see if the changes are there, especially clouds moving in the sky and a lot of new lighted scenery objects (streets, roadways, bridges, buildings etc.).

BTW new Cajon is awesome now, !*drool*! I have re-rated it in the Routes Forum, I'm enjoying even more to play BSB now, especially at night.

Thank you RSC's team! !!*ok*!! **!!bow!!** !*brav*!

You say you have V-7.1a. He says the latest version is 11.7b.

It sounds to me like you are a few versions behind.
