It looks "sharper" to me, then again UP's Armour Yellow livery always has been quite sharp to begin with. They didn't seem to have overdone themselves with carbody, underframe and running gear detail, did they? Of course what cannot be seen or is permanently in the shadows doesn't need to be modelled, but one expects some more detail given the fact that todays computers are more powerful than the original ones the current model has been designed for.

It really depends on the performance improvements the Service Pack is going to bring (or not).

I will only be satisfied with it if the cab instruments and displays are fully functional, the traction and brake simulations are more accurate, and those dern couplers are fixed. If these aren't and it is just cosmetics and appearance, I will be disappointed once again.

A pity RSC didn't model the optional self steering trucks to set the new ES44 apart from the older model.

Yeah, would be nice, but then we need an AC6600 to follow along, !*salute*!

I agree! K185 has AC power everytime becuase it is such a heavy train so AC6000's and AC4400's are very common. Plus CSX,BNSF,UP,CP, and KCS has them.

Nope. Joking aside, I just don't believe in getting sherman hill.

Its not so much because of that, its just the old rollingstock needs to be updated.

I noticed, kinda hoping for hotboxes and flatspots. Back to the ES44, what do you think they will do with the old one?
