I have the BNSF along with the NEWR, NS, Southern, and Monongahela. I can't drive any of them!

Try driving it from the cab controls on the engine cab by the seat.

It always works for me and is relatively simple to use. These respond by hand.

Even know the hud controls work on mine I never did like to use them. Prefer the cab controls if they worked.

Question I can't figure out though is why the locomotive nose appears black in your picture.

I don't think Mike or I worked on any of those. Try downloading the blue smuffs and see if they work for you.

I downloaded the files onto my computer, but when I use the package manager they are nowhere to be found. I've been having this problem with various files for awhile now and I don't know why that is

Hi donpanek,

OK, you have the file on your PC from the library here at Railworks America, say the blue BNSF, open the rar file then open the RWP file with 7z, if you have not got 7z just download it,

After you open the RWP file you will see an assets folder in it then another folder called JCornell, go though to the assets in your Steam folder and place this JCornell folder with the other folders there,

Clear the cache in tools and docs before starting the sim and see how you get on, lets know how it is ,

Cheers,

Roger.

It sounds like you have a much larger problem other than RailWorks if the files are downloading are disappearing. Do you have an anti-virus installed?

By chance, do you have the controls set to simple? If I remember correctly, the GP38-2 has no input mapper for simple controls so that setup will not work. It only has a mapper for expert controls.

ATSF, I think you are thinking of Brindly's GP7 and 15. My recollection is that the Cornell 38 has always worked with the F4.

Yes I have virus software and use it regularly, and I only use simple controls on all my trains. Can you tell me how to switch it to expert controls? I can't seem to figure that one out.

After you start RW3 and you get to your menu screen, go into Options, select the Gameplay tab and then uncheck the "Simple Controls" box.

This explains why I had never seen that Virtual Console screen before, I ever played using expert controls! *!greengrin!*

Can anyone point me to the link to download it? I can't find it in the file library.

I have an older RS version with UP and D&RGW repaints and the auto-numbering doesn't work. I'd like to update them.

Try these:
