How clever!! You lowered the black stripes just a fraction so they fit the nose better. Well done! !!*ok*!!

NS's unit looks like a face painted kid, a boy who drew himself a charcoal mustache and who didn't look in the mirror doing so.
Yours looks like a perfect fit, the natural fit.

Now we'll all like this unit of yours so much we want to have it. *!lol!*
So the next question will be : when?

Very nice screenshots btw, Which route?

Observant eye you have there. Dropped them just enough to make a big difference. If you look a little harder, you'll see some things I changed in the body style that other RSC ES44's don't have. Reason being to get the black to work right on the upper parts/roof.
Been driving around a bit to look for bugs. Those shots are all from my own route by the way. Probably get it out to Hawk before the end of the day. I don't think I can get it to look much better than what it is. After spending too much time on this already, I think it's pretty ugly. *!lol!*

Beauty is only in the eye of the beholder. *!!wink!!*
Oh, I am not going to hunt for nits, loose nuts or failing rivets. The general impression is what counts in any adaptation of a prototype, and so far you have succeeded in capturing each and every unit's essence. !*salute*!

But yes, you are right, this unit will probably go down as one of the less than beautiful ones in the NS Heritage Fleet.

We will see in a couple of month's time, just by counting the photos published everywhere over the web.
Some units will be liked and photographed more than others and the favourite ones will stand out.

These units are some of my favorites (that don't have to do with a western railroad.) What would make this look even more like the real thing is using the BNSF ES44AC's geo. files, but not everyone has those, I do.

Thanks man! !!*ok*!!
That's my own route I've put together.
This last paint should be up soon in the downloads.
Someone gave me an idea. I have all these templates left over so I did a what if NS wanted a new design for their whole fleet? Still black. Still some white. Still got the horsey. !*salute*!
I got the idea from a drawing somebody did over at the Heritage facebook page. I like it. Whatdayathink? !!det!!

I get enough takers, we'll upload. I might make it look more like this. Don't know. Same similarity. I basically stole my template from the Southern for starters. I'm sure some of you guessed that already. I didn't want the front wraparound idea because it looked too much like the Southern.

Count me in. I have had enough of the "boring blacks", some variation is in order.

I definitely get this one. I like how you took the Southern template and made it into a black and white beast of glory. A must have for me!!! !*drool*! !*cheers*!
