Maybe down the road sometime. Right now I'm doing a few of theses heritage paints just because they are real and I never thought I'd see the day some one would paint old R.R. names and colors on new locos. !*salute*!
By the way. The last two paints were sent in. Should be up in a few.

The Nickel Plate Road did not own any F7's. The only covered wagons the NKP owned were the ALCO PA1's.

Thank you for taking the time to model these fallen-flag paint schemes. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the kind words.
This one is giving a bit of trouble. I was going to release this with the Conrail but might just upload the CR for now.

That loco is a Lady! She shall be adressed as Lady Georgia from now on.

Is that turquoise on the body's upper part? (how would I look if I'd say "the lady's upper body part'? *!!wink!!* *!lol!* )
Turquoise is a notoriously difficult colour for any artist to capture in ink, paint, fabric or other material, even on film and RGB.
Compare with these classic Dutch engines, the famous Baldwin-Westinghouse designed 1200 class. Just out for Railworks, must get them straight away, they aren't that expensive even.
Image
These Ladies of the Rails wore turquoise for a few years in passenger service. Freight engines were classic oxide red, later both were painted classic Prussian blue.

The turquoise was apprarently chosen by the then NS president, Dr. F.Q. den Hollander's wife. The colour didn't last long under the weekly rinse with oxalic acid, necessary to remove the copper oxide drab that quickly covered the engines because of the scrapings off the overhead wires in rainy weather.

Hi,

Great re-paints but i do think these ladies need some "Dirty" makeup on!! *!lol!*

Cheers,

Roger.

And turn them from lookers into hookers? No thanks.

But yes, you are right, just a little road dust will do on plow, pilots and trucks to bring them alive as real working engines instead of well conserved museum pieces.
We'll have to wait and see. How will Lord Wabash turn out? There are so many heritage units, I can hardly wait for them all.

The units done so far all look magnificent. Hopefully they'll boost TS 2012's reputation with the general train sim users and with the commercial developers.

"Lightning" or "Georgia Thunder" should be the name for this unit. Refer to what will sure to be a very popular photo of her the night she was rolled out for photos at Chattanooga.

I'm guessing you're referring to this photo?

I know they are too clean. But what do yo expect? I just rolled them out of the paint booth. *!lol!*
Seriously tho. I might release them all again with a little road rash on them. You never know.
I'm trying to get the ones out that are out in reality. Except for the Lackawanna which I had to do. It will probably look different when they, (NS), get it out. I'm itching at doing some more but want to see how they look after NS paints them. Have to wait. i have the sketches but notice that they do change.
The Central of Georgia still has little bits and colors in the wrong place and I know KUJU's mapping of these stinks! **!!bang!!** Some parts you paint end up being in more than one spot. I have light blue where dark blue needs to go and visa versa. Till it's right, it goes nowhere. *!sad!*
