Good enough, these are sweet. Very nice work. I started one but it has been a few months since I last did a repaint so I will have to sit on it for now. Too much other stuff going on in life to focus on it. These do look great though. Keep up the nice work.

Really like the Lackawanna, like the other heritage schemes repainted so far, fits quite well on the angular shape of the ES44.

Envious of your work. You apparently have no problem repainting the ES44.

Can't wait to line them all up for display on one of my routes, I assume this is what most of us will do.
Wonder if NS has planned the same great display when all of its heritage fleet is out.

There still are a free freelance schemes available, like AC&Y, P&WV and possible other small roads adsorbed into NS, right?
Which small roads are these, actually? Monon, DT&I, IHB? Here you can let your imagination roam free. Please by all means, do so!

DT&I anything would be noce to see, but its not a part of NS, its in GTW and CN now and the line is owned by the IORY now.

These two I'll get uploaded before the day ends I hope. The Southern was a tough cookie! My eyes are burning. Time to take a break. LOL! All and all. I think it turned out a sweet lookin ride. I wish some of the parts were mapped different. Some things I just couldn't paint the way I wanted. I'm glad you guy's are getting some enjoyment from them. Thanks again. !*salute*!

Hi,

Great paints you have done there, is there any chance when you have had a rest *!!wink!!* you could paint the Lackawanna No 8114 in weathered condition?.

Thanks,

Roger,

Yes i know, some people are never satisfied. *!lol!*

Not to count your rivets, cause they look great! But font wise the numbering and "Southern" lettering look a bit off.

The Southern font on this page may be a bit more appropriate.

Otherwise they look GREAT!

I don't know if this will help or not. It may be the same thing that is on Pete Willard's site (linked to in shicoe's post).

Not a problem. Count those rivets. I just went by the photos we see of the real NS Southern. I'll look into the fonts you sent and test them out.

mdurdan. You want to repaint these go for it. I would have rathered have painted them weathered. It would have been easier then make them clean and shinny. *!lol!* That to me was the tough part. I like dirt, grease, oil, soot, diesel spills and chipped off faded paint. *!!wink!!*

Edit part. I checked some more on the font. The NS heritage version from the photos I see they used the wrong font. I did a little compromise. Used the proper font for the name and juggled the digits a little. I think most of us should be happy with it. I'm packing them up now for Hawk. :D

I suspect these units will not be around more than a couple of years at most, and since they are ambassadors for the system, they probably wont be allowed to get very dirty at all. When #4610 was roaming the system, I never saw it dirty, though it did develop a gnarly rust spot on the cab at one time.

Could you also repaint the default F7 locomotive. Would love to see Nickle Plate of it.
