Just out of curiosity, does that xD show up on your computer as xD or does it actually relate to something, and what does it mean?

I'm not picking on you or anything. I've seen a few others use letters instead of using the available clickable smilies. I never have understood why because the letters don't mean a thing to others.

It's meant to be a big grin ( like :D ) with squinty shut eyes, I think - like ><. I have no idea where it originated though.

Oh! Well, for those that don't know what it's supposed to be, isn't it kind of useless to use it? Not trying to start anything but wouldn't the graphical smilie serve better, or am I the only one that doesn't know what all those text smilies mean? !*roll-laugh*!

the xD originated on IRC many years ago, as an alternative to the big grin smiley, IRC did nto show up the actual emoticons and always showed the commands

the xD is actually a bigger grin that *!lol!* the eys dont go squint, they actually close down, as it is supposed to resemble a hard attempt at a smug grin.

Thats pretty much the jest of it :D
My scenarios are short, but they leave plenty of room for scope. Time to stretch to other routes I think

I had no idea what it meant either, glad that's cleared up.

krellnut wrote:Hi all, hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas. I'm working on a update for my wagon sound pack. There were about 18 wheel sounds which I thought sound, well stupid. So I went out and got more, stupid solved. But the biggest upgrade I'm excited about is the addition of the rail sound; the sound of the rail with a wheel rolling on it. How do you get the sound of the rail, its the sound of a wheel with no flat spots; perfect wheel. So now I've added the rail sound and also made it the dominant sound for the cars. The result is when watching a train pass by, not every car will sound like the wheels have defects. Far more life like. I'm doing all the testing on TS2012, so its compatible. But probably the biggest feature is the addition of a installer with the pack, just make sure the destination is correct, and click to install. Its not quite ready, but should be soon. Look for it, the update is well worth it. Still working on the SD70 sound pack, but I needed a break from it so I started working on the ES sound pack and the wagon pack. But they will all get released sometime. Hope you enjoy the update.

Thanks for the update. Your sounds are amazing krellnut.. !!*ok*!!
